Monterrey is the third largest city in Mexico and the capital of the state of Nuevo Leon, often called the richest city in Mexico. It's the commercial, industrial, educational, and transportation hub. The Plaza's modern buildings, gardens, and monuments are a reflection of the city as modern industrialism rather than old-world colonialism. Founded in the 16-th century and named after the Spanish Viceroy Count Monterrey. Monterrey is surrounded by the Sierra Madre mountains. Mountain View is amazing and is conquered by Cerro de la Silla (Saddle Mountain), which has come to be a symbol of the city.

Cerro de la Silla
Monterrey's most famous landmark is the saddle-shaped mountain that dominates the local skyline. There are also hiking trails to its peak, if you're athletically inclined. The mountain has four peaks: Pico Antena, Pico Norte, Pico Sur and Pico la Virgen. The ascent is considered fairly difficult, requiring approximately 3 hours to complete. A panoramic view of the city of Monterrey can be seen from the top.

Cerro del Obispado
A famous landmark in the city of Monterrey, Mexico. originally home of the Bishop de Monterrey, with excellent views of the city. Home to a small regional history museum with a clerical bent. The Obispado can be easily spotted by virtue of its enormous Mexican flag, flying proudly beside it.

Cerveceria Cuahtemoc, Centro
It is a major Mexican brewery based in Monterrey. Also a subsidiary of FEMSA, the largest beverage company in Mexico. It was founded in Monterrey in 1890. The company produces a range of pale and dark lagers, including: Bohemia, Noche Buena and Sito de Kaiser.

Macroplaza
The Macroplaza or La Gran Plaza is a Town square or Plaza located in the heart of the city. In the east of the Zona Rosa is Mexico's largest zocalo, or central plaza, a stretch of green space lined with fountains, statues, gardens, and monuments. The Macroplaza features the following monuments, buildings and pedestrian zones.

Safari Parque Estrella
Bio Parque Estrella is a safari park and rainforest sanctuary where more than a thousand animals comprising 50 different species reside. Located about 30 minutes from Monterrey. This wildlife safari park features treks through the Serengeti, a petting zoo, and a variety of attractions.

Cascadas Cola de Caballo
It is a huge "Horsetail Falls", waterfall, a 25 meter waterfall, is six km up a road leading west off the national highway This was a very refreshing side of Monterrey, a city mostly known for its arid and hot weather. This it is an excellent place to take photography from the family.

Barrio Antiguo
It is old town of Monterrey. This is the given name to a group of old houses located along several blocks behind the Metropolitan Cathedral, which have successfully survived the battle of time.

Museo de Arte Contemporaneo

This museum is one of the most important and best-known museums in the city. Architect Ricardo Legorreta designed the modern building in 1990. The sculpture, La Paloma (The Dove) at the entrance is by Juan Soriano.
